Download MP3s Directly From Imeem
OK, so you've seen all those free songs on Imeem, but you can't download anything. Or at least you couldn't before you read this article. First, pick up the URL's of the songs that you wish to download. There are a couple ways to go about this. One of them is for FireFox users. Just click here to download it from Mozilla. Then go to Imeem and play a song. The little icon should start flashing or turning different colors, and then click on the little down arrow and click on the file you want. It may have a super long name, which in that case, you could just change to the song name. Then at the end it will say .flv. Unfortunately, Totem Player on Linux is just about the only program that will play and understand those files. So, if you want to be able to play the songs on your iPod, Zune, or whatever crappy player you may have, listen up. You just go to the file save part (NOTE: You MUST HAVE FIREFOX 3 to do this type of conversion) and go to where it says .flv. Then you kust change flv to mp3, but leave the dot there, or else this trick will not work. Let;s say you have a good internet connection and IE or some unheardof browser. There are a few differemt ways. One is to go to File2HD and copy and paste the URL of the page of the audio that you want to get, and check the box for audio. One file should come up, and just right-click and then click "Save Link As..." or soforth. Then, you have the .flv file saved to your computer, but you need it converted. Click here to download a capable program to do this. If you don't trust me, please do virus-scan it, as I would never take advantage of my few viewers. If you want to use a website, here are two that will do the job:
Media-Convert
